BAD BAGS - For Wherever Adventures Take You
Share
Nearly three decades ago, BAD BAGS started in Seattle with a simple vision: to build a better duffel.
Our Goal
With years of experience working in the outdoor gear industry, BAD BAGS founder Malcolm Vetterlein understood the importance of not cutting corners and using only the most durable materials and functional designs when creating the original Best American Duffel. His goal has always been to ensure BAD BAGS would satisfy customers not just for a few months or years, but decades.
Fast forward to 2019 and that commitment to quality and durability has never wavered. Nor has the fact that BAD BAGS are still proudly made in the United States of America.
Our Inspiration
Of course, the secret behind our dedication to excellence is simple—it’s YOU.
Whether it’s the comments you leave on Facebook or Instagram, the thoughtful emails you send us or, the conversations we’ve shared together, hearing your stories about the adventures and places you’ve taken our duffels is both humbling and rewarding. Because we don’t simply want to be another piece of luggage, we want to help inspire a lifestyle of wanderlust through storytelling, community and of course, that timeless piece of luggage: The BAD Duffel.
As frequent travelers ourselves, we understand how life changing it is to experience other cultures, witness once-in-a-lifetime events, or stare in awe at nature’s masterpieces. On the flip side, we’ve also experienced how stressful it can be when things go wrong in a foreign environment—whether that be theft, accidents or having luggage busted apart at the hands of unruly baggage handler.
While we can’t prevent every travel mishap, you can be assured that your BAD BAG will strive to survive wherever and whatever your adventure is (or, just that business trip across the state).
Our BAGS
It’s the reason we use 1,000-denier ballistic CORDURA® nylon fabric and two-inch, 6,000-pound break-strength seat-belt webbing in every bag we make. The motivation behind not only double-stitching and taping all of the seams, but also cross-stitching and box-stitching the handles for extreme durability. And it’s why your BAD BAG’s #10 YKK zippers aren’t only built to last, but also be locked.
BAD BAGS is a product built by travelers, for travelers. So whether you want to explore your own city, state, country or planet, these duffels are for YOU.
Happy Travels.
